We’re happy to report that the Black Rock City Power Coop (and Particle Camp, who was part of the coop) was entirely MOOP-free. Check out the Day 7 MOOP Map.
We’re proud to announce that Particle Station is the latest stop on the Black Rock City Subway. A TUGS Tube (Tesla Under Ground Subway) will run right under the Particle Dome, providing easy access to every quadrant of our great city.
For fare schedules and emergency preparedness in the case of wormhole activity, please consult the Black Rock City Subway site.
Mind the temporal gap.
You’ll find Particle Camp and the Particle Bar on the playa conveniently close to Center Camp, on the inside of Biggie at 4:10-ish.
black rock without the city
Gerlach without Burning Man is a bespoke surreal performance piece, an dance of endurance between man and environment. Missing the crowds & rules of Burning Man, Gerlach is still a remote and desolate outpost filled with the sorts of people who you would expect to find in a remote and desolate outpost, or perhaps in San Francisco.
One of the questions in our camp questionnaire was ‘Acculturation’. The text said:
As the Burning Man event and culture grows, we are all challenged by demonstrating our values to the newest members of our community. How will your camp meet this challenge?
‘Acculturation’ is a pretty important concept at Burning Man, and I wanted to write a little bit about what that means, and what it means to Particle Camp.
